Yes, Georgia, there is such a thing as stick-to-your-ribs Southern grub that won't send you straight to the cardio unit -- and it can be found in a quiet 'burb north of Atlanta. "It's healthy down-home cooking," says Chef Bill Greenwood. "We're not fancy-food folks here. I'm a gardener and I just love picking fresh collards and lettuce and serving 'em up that day." How green is Chef Greenwood's garden? Well, PBS once produced a piece about his verdant veggie patch. At both Greenwood's on Green St. and the chef's nearby eatery Swallow in the Hollow, the cooks aren't afraid of making tasty vegetables a central part of the meal. Diehard carnivores can relax, though -- fried chicken, seasonal crayfish cakes, shrimp with grits and other meaty favorites are still on the menu, albeit with heart-smart twists.

Greenwoods is Comfort food with a Southern gourmet twist

Won't take reservations but can reserve a duck- they go FAST. Crispy and tender, I like the sauce on the side. Decent wines by the glass or bottle. The best greens on the planet. Not stringy, but tender leaves with just the right amount of garlic, broccoli caserole topped with fried onions, trout with a beurre blanc sauce makes you feel like you behaved enough to indulge in a slice of pie.(about one forth of a pie !) But difficult to decide on blackberry, apple, chocolate, lemon merangue-oh my- going tomorrow fo lunch ! Happy Birthday to me !

Not what I was expecting

My family and I were searching for a restaurant to have a nice home cooked meal, we were truly disappointed. The menu is overpriced and the fried chicken takes 30 minutes to prepare. Plus, they do not accept credit or debit cards, but will accept a check (I never carry ********** is a nice quaint establishment, but the food is nothing to rave about.

Ate that after hearing raves about it. I was not impressed and the food my friend ate made him sick
