Don't Miss Chef Mavro's!
I agree with the previous rater that Mavro is better than Alan Wong's and Sam Choy's - but then, this is classic French style with a touch of Island thrown in, as Chef Mavro takes advantage of the feshest and best local produce and seafood. So it is not comparable with, and takes nothing away from chefs Wong and Choy. Overall, the food is lighter and so nicely paired with the wines that one can eat the several courses and still be ready for dessert. The sophisticated, calming decor draws one in and the attentive staff reinforce the sense of wellbeing. On two occasions, Chef Mavro himself came by our table to inquire how we liked certain dishes. The menu changes frequently, as does preparation of some items. Price is certainly a consideration, but Chef Mavro is worth every penny. More Reviews
Best Okinawan restaurant!
Their signature dish is shoyu pork. For variety try the shoyu pork with eggplant. It's soooooo good! More Reviews
