Although Pepe's is a relatively casual establishment, lunchtime is the crunch time here as locals rush to get filled-to-bursting burritos and the like for less than $4. Reservations are accepted until 6:30pm, when the dinner crowd rolls in for slightly pricier items like the fajita platter or spicy chalupas. The Mexican and Tex-Mex fare speaks for itself, but Pepe's patio is an added perk. Almost an ecosystem in itself, it is completely enclosed and boasts a waterfall on one wall, a fountain in the center, and picturesque flora and fauna growing just about everywhere.
